S.O.R. Homes is...

An innovative model that addresses the complex layers of recovery by combining safe housing with community, skill development, and healing arts. Transformative community housing with two main buildings for every

complex erected: one for those recovering from addiction (AODA) and another for survivors of domestic abuse, sexual assault, and trafficking.

Starting as free housing, it will transition into Section 8-style as they reintegrate into the workforce. This cooperative living focused on integrating a safe, on-site co-op daycare staffed by residents to support working single parents.

Beyond a shelter, SOR Homes will fill critical gaps with holistic programming—offering workshops in life skills like budgeting, nutrition, home maintenance, and healing therapies including group and movement / creative therapy.

This intentional community will nurture identity, self-worth, and godly purpose, equipping residents to transition after a year fully healed, empowered, and connected—not as isolated individuals but as a resilient village built on lifelong relationships and mutual support. Full support filling all areas needed to be developed, healed and sharpened for a smooth, confident and lasting transition to their next chapter, not just safely but successfully.

“My people will live in peaceful dwelling places, in secure homes, in undisturbed places of rest.”

– Isaiah 32:18

“Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain.”

– Psalm 127:1

"...to bestow on them a crown of beauty instead of ashes, the oil of joy instead of mourning, and a garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair. They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the

display of his splendor."
— Isaiah 61:3

“Then I said to them, ‘You see the trouble we are in, how Jerusalem lies in ruins... Come, let us build the wall
of Jerusalem...’ And they said, ‘Let us rise up and build.’ So they strengthened their hands for the good work.”

— Nehemiah 2:17–18
